If you love pork chops, this is a recipe you have to try. Garlic butter pork chops. As the name suggest, it is extremely simple and takes minutes to make. Perfect for a weekday dinner.
Preparing the Garlic Butter Pork Chops
Before you begin the process, make sure to wash the pork chops, pat them dry. Then, hit them with your favorite seasonings. I decided to go with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Give them a nice coat on both sides.
Cooking the Pork Chops
You’ll start by heating a frying pan with a splash of oil, enough oil to coat the bottom, but not too much. You don’t want to deep fry these pork chops. Once steam begins to show, the oil is hot enough to begin placing the pork chops in.
Adding Flavor with Garlic and Butter
Once all of your pork chops are in the pan, grab a tablespoon of butter and throw it in with the pork chops. About 2 to 3 minutes into cooking, you will place the minced garlic in. The good thing about this recipe is that you can use as much butter as you would like. If there is not enough, use another tablespoon of butter. You will want to start drizzling the butter and garlic over the chops. If you want to get fancy, you can throw in some fresh herbs, thyme, basil, or cilantro.
Finishing the Garlic Butter Pork Chops
At around 4 minutes of cooking, see if the chops are a nice golden brown. If so, flip them over. If you need more butter, add another tablespoon. You can also add more herbs and spices here if you would like. As the chops are cooking, drizzle the garlic butter over them. They should take around another 4 minutes to cook fully. Slice one open to see if it is done if you need to. You should not see and red or pink. Once done, remove and serve immediately. That’s it, a total of about 12 minutes including prep and cooking time. This recipe turned out delicious and would recommend it. Keep in mind, the thicker the chops, the more time you will need.
The Result: Flavorful and Juicy Pork Chops
The garlic butter pork chops had a nice flavor to them, not one thing was overpowering. You could taste the butter, garlic, pepper, Italian, and so on. The chops were not dried out with the help of the butter garlic and not cooking them for too long. Paired with green beans and macaroni and cheese, it turned out to be full, filling meal. Garlic butter does truly go good on everything, maybe.
