I didn’t take a picture of my tacos 🤦‍♂️ so here is beautiful picture of San Juan.

If you’re in the outskirts of San Juan, Puerto Rico and craving some delicious tacos, I highly recommend checking out Takería. This restaurant is located to the east of Laguna del Condado and next to the Laguna del Condado Profesor Jaime Benítez Rexach National Park, making it an ideal stop for anyone exploring the area.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge, as there is limited space along the road. However, you can also choose to park at the park and walk about a block to the restaurant. Alternatively, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can rent a scooter in and around San Juan and not have to worry about driving and parking.

Once you step inside Takería, you’ll be greeted by a cozy atmosphere that is dimly lit with low wattage light bulbs. Black paint lines one side of the restaurant’s walls, while graffiti art in bright colors covers the remaining walls. The seating is set up with a walkway down the middle, with chairs and benches on one side and the bar and kitchen on the other.

During my visit, my girlfriend and I decided to try the tacos. Takería offers a wide variety of flavors, including carnitas, pork, chicken tinga, skirt steak, tuna poke, and many vegetarian options. The tacos were incredibly flavorful and juicy, but there were a few issues with them. Firstly, they were too small! They were so delicious that they disappeared in just two bites. Secondly, you only get one taco per order. Lastly, they were quite expensive for their size, ranging from $3.75 to $5.50.

Thankfully, Takería has a lot more to offer than just tacos. The menu includes pa’ Empezar, kekas, chimichangas, and desserts. If you’re looking for a little kick to your meal, they also have a variety of cocktails to choose from.

All in all, Takería is a great restaurant with delicious food. Even though the tacos can be a bit pricey and small, the other items on the menu are worth trying as well. When I return to Puerto Rico, I’ll definitely be stopping by Takería to try more of their tasty food. If you have the budget to spare, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. Your wallet might not thank you, but your stomach certainly will!
