OH MY GOODNESS. These tacos were absolutely amazing. Fantastic job GimmeSomeOven! They were also incredibly easy to make. The seasoning for the fish and the salsa that goes with it just flowed together so well. You can taste every ingredient in every bite. We will talk about the salsa in a bit because that is so good, you could almost eat it with a spoon.

The Fish for Fish Tacos

It is suggested by Ali over at GimmeSomeOven that you can use different types of fish for these tacos. I have opted to stick with salmon. Salmon is one of the non-fishy tasting fish so it compliment these tacos very well. You might be able to use dover sole or red fish as well to substitute salmon as they also do not have a fishy taste. Once you rub the fish down with oil and sprinkle the spices liberally, throw these bad boys in the oven until they become flaky.

Spices for Your Fish Tacos

The spices really make the fish pop. You will end up mixing together chili powder, ground cumin, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. You are in control of how spicy you want to make your tacos. Add more chili powder to spice things up.

Salsa

This salsa right here is so good. I would never to think a citrus and jalapeños go so well together. You can also use any citrus fruit you would like to make this. I have so far done oranges and pineapple. The oranges, I think, are the way to go. They have such a powerful taste that goes so well with the other ingredients. Pineapples just did not pack the punch oranges do, and I love pineapples. With what ever you fruit you decide to use, you will mix it with other ingredients. Those ingredients include, avocado, I did not use avocado, jalapeños, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice. Mix all them altogether in a bowl.

I highly recommend this recipe even if you are not a fan of salmon. My mouth is watering just talking about these tacos. These will to be sure to send your taste buds into the 4th dimension.
